Adam Garone is chief executive officer of Starlight Children’s Foundation, a global children’s health charity focused on improving quality of life for seriously ill children and their families. Starlight partners with pediatric hospitals to deliver in‑hospital and at‑home programs that reduce anxiety, support emotional wellbeing and promote treatment adherence, including for children undergoing cancer care. Under Garone’s leadership, the foundation has expanded its use of digital health, entertainment and hospital-integrated support services that complement clinical treatment in pediatric oncology and other serious conditions.
Garone co‑founded the Movember Foundation and helped build it into a global charity addressing prostate cancer, testicular cancer and mental health. Movember created a cultural movement that reshaped cancer research funding by promoting international collaboration across institutions. Garone’s leadership is informed by service as an officer in the Australian Army Commando Regiment, shaping a disciplined, mission-driven approach to building organizations with sustained global impact.
