The Oncology Centre at Kenyatta National Hospital was named the Overall Best Performing Department at the hospital’s Staff Recognition Awards, Sitna Ali Mwanzi, head of the department, said in a LinkedIn post.
The award recognized the centre’s excellence in meeting its targets and obligations, the post said.
Mwanzi described the accolade as “a wonderful way to end the year” and called it “a true testament to teamwork and commitment despite numerous challenges,” adding that she was proud of the oncology team.
Hospital officials did not immediately provide further comment.
