Bengaluru-based orthopedic recovery startup Lumov raised USD 1.2 million (INR 10 crore) in a seed round led by Incubate Fund Asia, with participation from QRG Investments, IIMA Ventures, SIDBI, and angels. Funds will support expansion, surgeon partnerships, product development, and scaling in Delhi NCR, Hyderabad, and Mumbai, alongside strengthening manufacturing and sales teams. Founded by Saumaric Dangwal and Ankit Gupta, Lumov designs orthopedic recovery and rehabilitation products for post-surgical care and mobility support. It collaborates with specialists at major hospitals like Manipal, Apollo, Sakra, and AIG to create clinically validated products for Indian patients. Lumov’s core team of 15 plans to grow in product development, sales, and operations. Founders bring experience from Bain Capital, Brookfield Private Equity, and Steinberg Asset Management.
Skincare startup Conscious Chemist secured INR 15 crore in bridge funding led by Atomic Capital, with First Port Capital and IPV International participating, following a INR 1 crore debt raise from Recur Club in February 2024. After appearing on Shark Tank India Season III without investment, the startup plans to strengthen leadership, scale inventory and marketing, and boost R&D, preparing to enter scalp and hair care segments. Founded in 2021 by Robin Gupta and Prakher Mathur, Conscious Chemist offers over 30 active skincare products including sunscreens, cleansers, serums, and acne care, using ingredients like salicylic acid, peptides, ceramides, and retinol. The company reports triple revenue growth in a year, CM3-level profitability, 75% gross margins, and over 2.5 million users. Quick commerce sales have tripled. It aims for INR 500 crore annual recurring revenue in two to three years.
Specialty Surgical Oncology Hospital (SSO) raised USD 2.8 million from Everhope Oncology to support expansion, enhancing organ-specific surgical services and improving advanced cancer care access across Western India. Founded in 2021 by seven cancer surgeons led by Dr. Sanket Mehta, SSO is based in Mumbai to address long waits, overcrowding, and limited surgical treatment access. It focuses on organ-specific cancer surgeries with dedicated oncology centers. SSO offers open, minimal access, and robotic surgeries, including Cytoreductive Surgery and Hyperthermic Intraperitoneal Chemotherapy, treating breast, head and neck, gastrointestinal, gynecological, and bone cancers. Support services include counseling, stoma care, and nutritional guidance. The new funds will help expand in Mumbai, Ahmedabad, and cities across Maharashtra and Gujarat.
